Corn mazes, Pumpkin picking, Hayrides and Haunted trails

It’s time for corn maze, hay ride and pumpkin picking opportunities. For those who are bold and looking for a scare, haunted trails are also in session. A few include:

Aw Shucks Farms

September 13 – November 17

This farm features a 6 acre corn maze, hayrides, pumpkin picking, an animal farm, picnic areas, bonfires, a general store and live music every Saturday. They also allow you to go through the maze at night with a flashlight. General admission is $8. The farm is located at 3718 Plyler Mill Road, Monroe, NC 28112. More information and special discounts are available here.

Regal Farm

Opens September 28

Another 7 acres of a confusingly carved out corn field with “corn cops” available to help you find your way through. I like that their website tells you to wear sneakers and be mindful that they may get dirty. My first corn maze experience was disappointing for almost that one fact alone – and the farm animals. I don’t do farm animals.

Fridays: 6-10 p.m. begging September 28
Saturdays: Noon – 10 p.m. beginning September 29
Sundays: Noon – 5 p.m.

347 Bell Farm Road
Statesville, NC  28625

More info here.
