Festival in the park is one of the strongest festivals in the area. This year makes its 49th appearance and effort to help stimulate and promote interest in the arts. There are activities for kids, art for sale, live music from a variety of artists, acting, more music and food. Some parties involved in creating entertainment at the festival include: Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, Carolina Raptor Center, the Carolina Clowns, the Magicians’ Stage, the Charlotte Folk Society, the Actors Crib and the Jazz Arts Initiative.
There is a main stage, family fun zone stage, Carolina Clowns stage, Youth and Variety stage and more. See the schedule below for a breakdown of entertainment on the main stage:
