Kinsley Collection on Exhibit

June 29 – October 12

As described the by The Center, “The Kinsey Collection: Shared Treasures of Bernard and Shirley Kinsey – Where Art and History Intersect offers an inspirational journey through five centuries of African-American history, culture and heritage.” This is a collection of art and artifacts from the Bernard and Shirley Kinsey family. The pieces together – such as a letter from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, fine art and an early copy of the Emancipation Proclamation – provide a great deal of insight into African-American history.
