Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr. will share his wealth of knowledge about individual lineage and American history in “Finding Your Roots.” The lecture is a part of an annual lecture series for the Harvey B. Gantt Center. The presentation will include DNA analysis and stories about families as they relate to one’s lineage. Gates is currently an Alphonse Fletcher University Professor at Harvard University and has authored many works on the black experience – both nationally and internationally.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to view the Kinsey Collection alongside the Kinseys before the exhibit opens to the public on June 29. Remaining tickets are $10-$20.
