Respect the Mic Poetry Writing Workshop
The Respect Da Mic Poetry Slam Team will complete a poetry writing and performing workshop for writers and aspiring writers from Noon – 1 p.m. This event is for all ages and free! Details.
Respect the Mic Slam Team Performance
Poets will come from across the city and country will compete in three rounds during this slam competition. This is event has a cost – $10. Due to adult language, children are not allowed. 2-4 p.m. Details.
“Spit Dat”
Following the poetry workshop, teens will have the floor! Charlotte area teens will perform their original works from 1 – 2 p.m. This event is also free and for teens ages 12-18. Details.
