Favelas: Architecture of Survival

This exhibit profiles Fevales aka shanty towns of Brazil in almost 50 grand-sized photographs. The photographer, Pedro Lobo documents these communities in Rio de Janeiro. In addition to Lobo’s photography, the exhibit will feature response work from Urban Ministry and students from UNC Charlotte School of Architecture and the Master Urban Design program.

The exhibit is located at UNC Charlotte’s Center City building. More
