This is the 17th annual parade in Charlotte and the crowd keeps growing each year. The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. on 9th and Tryon streets in uptown. In accompaniment with the parade is the Charlotte Goes Green Festival from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at S. Tryon St. between 1st & 3rd Streets. The festival offers activities for all ages such as Irish music, bagpipes, dancing, vendors and a large amusement area for kids. Leading the parade is the NC Governor and former Mayor of Charlotte Pat McCrory. Admission is free!
Bonus! Attendees can win a trip to Ireland! All you have to do is attend the event, sign up at the US Airways booth and be present to redeem during the drawing at 4:30 p.m.
