This Carolinas Actor Studio Theatre play is based in 1988 and explores the love of hip hop during a time when the music and its culture were sweeping across the world and into people’s hearts. In major cities such as L.A. and New York, fans had easy access to exploring its sound and the dance, style and vibe that came with the new music form. Followers in the suburbs had a different story. How We Got On tells just that.  This show contains adult language and themes. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. with select matinees at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $18-$28.
