Chinese New Year’s Festival

The 16th annual Chinese New Year’s Festival will take place on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 2 p.m. The celebration kicks off with the colorful Lion Dance and Dragon Dance, which is expected to bring good luck to everyone for the upcoming year. Following the dances are performing arts and music as well as Chinese martial arts and health arts demonstrations such as Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Yoga.

Every festival needs an engaging number of exhibitors and this one will feature those who offer calligraphy, acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Children can enjoy games, face painting, an obstacle course, crafts and more. Take advantage of the one day discounts being offered to enroll in The Peaceful Dragon’s regularly scheduled Tai Chi and Kung Fu classes.

Admission is $3 per person, $5 per family or FREE with a donation of a non-perishable food item for Loaves and Fishes. Catered authentic Chinese food will be available to purchase for lunch.
