Red Pump/Red Tie Affair

December 1

Red Pump Project Charlotte is having its 4th Annual Red Pump/Red Tie Affair to raise awareness  and funds for HIV/AIDS and its effects on women. The affair entails live entertainment, a silent auction, runway show and honor of a prominent female leader who raises awareness on the subject matter.  Money raised will go to support The Trinity Project, a program of Regional AIDS Interfaith Network (RAIN). Going with the title, women should wear red pumps and men should wear red ties while attending. Tickets start at $35 for general admission.

The Red Pump Project is a national effort that raises awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls, using the red show as a sign of empowerment.

Where: Uptown at Levine Museum of the New South at 200 East Seventh Street from 7-10 p.m.

Why attend:  It’s fashion, it’s philanthropic and it sounds like fun.
