Twilight (L.A. riots) by On Q Productions

On Q Productions will perform Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 by Anna Deveare Smith. The production is described as documentary theater and it tells a story post 1992 Rodney King trial and verdict. We are all familiar with the riots and unsafe environment that followed the acquittal of the four L.A. police officers responsible for beating Rodney King.  This play will provide actual statements of victims, bystanders and participants of the riots. It will help to identify the racial and class clashes that stood as the root of the violent occurrences. This is theater for the mind.

The show begins Thanksgiving Day at Duke Energy Theater at Spirit Square (Blumenthal Performing Arts). Tickets are $24. Showtimes are:
