Architecture and film

The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art has an architecture and film series that explores modern architecture through movies. The upcoming film is Sketches of Frank Gehry, a documentary by Sydney Pollack. Pollack has an Academy Award and directed Out of Africa, Tootsie,The Way We Were and other classic films. This film will showcase the architect Frank Gehry and include interviews with his clients, friends and fans. His building designs are so warped, unique and attractive.

An event reception begins at 6 p.m. and a presentation and the movie will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for non-members and $8 for members. There’s a cash bar and free “light bites.” Details.
