A Raisin in the Sun

July 20-21

“What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore…” – Langston Hughes

A Raisin in the Sun debuted on Broadway in 1959 and has stood the test of time, continuing to hit stage on and off broadway. It is now in Charlotte at Duke Energy Theatre at Spirit Square. The story is an emotional tale about a family which anticipates a life insurance check that can change their lives. We all know that money unveils a host of issues that can build up or tear individuals apart. This play will take you on that journey. Tickets are $15-$20. Details.
