A Raisin in the Sun debuted on Broadway in 1959 and has stood the test of time, continuing to hit stage on and off broadway. It is now in Charlotte at Duke Energy Theatre at Spirit Square. The story is an emotional tale about a family which anticipates a life insurance check that can change their lives.
