Firework displays and other festive events are taking place all over the city to celebrate the independence of the United States. A few that I came across include:
Birkdale Village Celebration and Parade
The Town of Huntersville will have several activities at their celebration to include face painting, a parade and an awards presentation from Mayor Jill Swain. 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Details.
Imperial Session Parade
Bands, floats, patrols, clowns and more in the Imperial Sesssion Parade in Uptown at 2:30p. North Tyron & 9th Streets and will travel south on Tyron, ending at Stonewall St. Details.
Carowinds “Nights of Fire”
The amusement park will put on a fireworks display on July 4 and continue a nightly show through August 12 – weather permitting. Details.
Lake Wylie fireworks display
Catch a Fantastic Fireworks Display at Lake Wylie at approximately 9:45 p.m. by the Buster Boyd Bridge. You can view the show at the The Buster Boyd Bridge Boat Landing, T-Bones on the Lake – outside deck, Rey Azteca deck at Lake Wylie Plaza and Lake Wylie Pizza and Italian Restaurant – on patio at Lake Wylie Plaza. U.S. National Whitewater Center Coca-Cola Fourth of July Festival (July 3-4)
The Whitewater Center is putting on a two-day July 4th event with live bands and fireworks on each night. As they so considerably do, the event is free! Performances begin at 4 p.m. and fireworks hit the sky when the sun falls. Details.
Town of Harrisburg 4th of July Celebration
Harrisburg will celebrate this event over the course of a few days with a pageant, music, parade, Battle of the Bands and firework displays. Details.
